Norfolk Coast Path creative interpretation panels

Sensory designs

Habitat awareness

Project summary

This project will install creative interpretation panels along the Norfolk Coast Path National Trail at six locations between Hunstanton and Sutton Bridge.

Background

These information boards will be accessible so that people of all backgrounds and abilities can access information that describes what the trail has to offer.

They will include interactive, tactile and sensory features to increase engagement with all groups of people travelling through Norfolk Coast National Landscape, supporting health and wellbeing.

Designs will be inspired by the unique natural and cultural heritage of the area, helping people to feel a sense of connection to the world around them.

The panels will also promote responsible behaviour among visitors exploring the area, including sticking to paths, keeping dogs on leads, and respecting sensitivities of wildlife to disturbance at certain times of year, such as ground nesting birds.
